New Zealand : 2004 World's First Action replay Stamps
Four of New Zealand's finest Olympians relived their gold-medal winning moments in by New Zealand Post's official unveiling of the world's first 'action replay' stamps. The denominations are: 45c - John Walker; 90c - Yvette Williams; $1.50 - Ian Ferguson and Paul MacDonald; $2.00 - Peter Snell.
John Walker, Montreal 31 July 1976 - 45c:
At 300 meters from home and the American Rick Wohlhuter loomed dangerously on Walker's outside shoulder. He couldn't wait any later. He had to go. Walker took off. With 300 metres to go he burst into the lead. The Belgian Ivo Vandamme come at him from the outside, but Walker lunged at the line with all his strength, flinging his arms in the air…
Yvette Williams, Helsinki 23 July 1952 - 90c:
Time came for her fourth jump of the day. She was tired after the long cold waits between each jump. The Olympic record had been broken eight times already. She stepped up to her mark. Knowing this was it. Her event. Her moment. She took off from her mark, sprinting at the pit like never before…
Ian Ferguson & Paul MacDonald, Seoul 30 September 1988 - $1.50:
East Germany, Poland and Hungary closed in. All were capable of winning but it was the final burst of the Russians that was the real heart stopper. The Soviets attacked. But the Kiwis countered, calling on all their strength and experience....Russia, New Zealand....New Zealand, Russia...
Peter Snell, Rome 2 September 1960 - $2.00:
At the 100 metre mark Snell's plan was to make the move. Snell didn't have it in him. Moens had the lead. Moens kept looking over his shoulder to his right. He didn't see Snell coming at him fast on the inside. Snell was strong. With 10 metres to go he closed his eyes and gave it his all. He threw his whole body forward, and…
The effect of movement is created through a special printing process called Lenticular. This effect is achieved by two or more images being printed together, or 'inter-laced', into each other. These are printed around the wrong way on the back of a special lens material. Due to the optics in the lens, your eye is forced to see only a very small area of the lens at a certain angle. So, when you tilt the stamp, the images in the stamp appear to move.

Anna Meares :
Anna Meares started competitive cycling at the age of 11 in 1994, following her older sister Kerrie Meares into the sport. The family were inspired to take up competitive cycling by Kathy Watt winning a cycling gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. With the family living in the small Queensland coal-mining town of Middlemount, it was more than two hours drive to the nearest cycling track at Mackay for the girls to train.
During the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she won a gold medal, and set a new world record in the Women's 500 metre time trial of 33.952 seconds. Meares had to beat a new Olympic record set just minutes previously by the reigning World Record holder, Yonghua Jiang of China. (See Cycling at the 2004 Summer Olympics). The event was abolished from the Olympic program so Meares could not defend her title in 2008.
Meares also won a bronze medal in the Women's 200m Sprint event in Athens.

This commemorative issue for the Beijing Olympics features the three sports of basketball, cycling and gymnastics, events that Australia has representatives in.
Incorporated into the design of the three stamps are the Olympic rings and the number eight. This number is auspicious in Chinese culture and fittingly, the Beijing Games will start at 8.00 pm on the eighth day of the eighth month in the year 2008.
This issue was designed by Hobart-based Lynda Warner who is one of Australia's foremost graphic designers. Lynda has designed other stamps for Australia Post including Outback Services (2001), Australian Antarctic Research (2002) and Aviation in the AAT (2005).
Australia Issued these stamps for 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Commencing with the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games during the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, stamps featuring Australians who have won an Olympic gold medal are issued on the next postal business day after the achievement.

Poland : Issue for 2004 Athens Olympics
Beautiful Souvenir Sheet arrived from Poland, for 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
The olympic games were always in the center of interest both in the ancient world as well as in the modern one. It is assumed that the date of the first olympic games is the year 776 B.C.. Since then there are scientifically documented records of the winners of respective competitions. We have also evidences that all the life of the man of those days was saturated with the spirit of sport. The antique games survived 12 centuries. They have been cancelled by emperor Teodozjusz the Great in year 393 A.D. And so it was up to 1896 when the idea of the games revived and the first modern olympic games have been organized in Athens. Since this time ensues in a form adapted to modern conditions their splendid revival. It is noticed by the post administrations. Stamps having sport as a subject enjoy a great interest of the philatelists, who the greatest esteem have for olympic stamps.
The first Polish olympic stamps have been issued on the occasion of the XVI games in Melbourne. Among them comes one of the most expensive and most in request Polish stamps so called "inversion" of boxing. We have also olympic stamps honoured for they beauty by international bodies. During the 115 session of IOC Polish Post received the award "Prix Olympia Gold Medal" for a stamp commemorating the games in Salt Lake City. Since 1956 Polish Post has issued almost 140 olympic stamps.
The return of the games to Athens rouses many associations of ideas and thoughts. Have them also the designer of the presented stamps building his conception as an artistic bracket biding together the ancient and the present. Judge yourself what result it gave.
On the day of introductions of the stamps into post circulation will be in sale an FDC with special cancellation in use at the Post Office Warszawa 1
Thanks you So much Maksym :)
